"I'm not playing with dolls." You tell her, possibly a little too aggressively. "Dolls are for babes!"
Naturally she runs to her mother crying.
Soon your mother appears, with Susie and her mother behind her. All three look angry.
"Danielle." Your mother starts. "Why have you upset Susie again?"
"She wanted me to play with her dolls." You explain.
"And why couldn't you?" Your mother asks.
"Because I'm not a little girl any more." You tell her.
"Well." Your mother says. "We can fix that."
"What does that mean?" You ask.
"You'll see." Your mother tells you. Then to Susie and Mrs Lane. "Would you two ladies like to join us for tea tomorrow afternoon? Daniel will be ready to play with Susie by then."
Mrs Lane agrees and takes Susie home.
"Come and eat your dinner." Your mother says. "Then you can go straight to bed."
"It's only five." You argue.
"You are already in trouble." She warns you. "Don't make it worse."
