The young man opened the door and what awaited him was his dear friend and occasional annoyance, Akemi Homura in all of her splendid stoic glory. A blank expression was present on her ivory colored face, however, one could read it as a sign of disappointment which Tatsuya knew all too well.
"Good morning Homu." Tatsuya motioned her to get inside, stepping away from the door. His friend had yet to move, the expression still present. He sighed as he knew what this meant. Homura would always have these weird quirks to her, even when they were children playing together. It was rather annoying for the youth to deal with, but she was his best friend and he needed to deal with it regardless of his own feelings. Walking back over to the girl, he patted her on the head, needing to stand on the tips of his toes as he was a mite bit shorter than his friend. He was still a growing boy, or that was what he would always say.
"Good morning Homura-homu-homu." said the younger boy with a dry tone to his face. That was a small name she had come up for herself and always wanted Tatsuya to greet her with it whenever they were alone. Homura gave a big smile and gave the boy a quick hug. "Now that wasn't that bad was it? Mou, you're always so mean to me Tatsuya-kun." said the girl, ruffling his hair and messing it up in the process. He struggled out of the hold.
"Yeah yeah, now please get inside, you're letting the bugs in the house." The girl did as told and entered the humble abode closing the door behind him. Taking off her shoes and hanged her school bag on the coat-rack and followed her friend into the kitchen. It was an hour or so before school began so the pair would always have breakfast together. Since Homura was a terrible cook, Tatsuya took it upon himself to cook for her. She rather enjoyed his meals so it was a win-win situation. "So what's on the menu today Tatsuya-kun?" she asked as Tatsuya faced away from her, busy preparing ingredients on the counter. Since time was limited he always opted for easy to make meals and the girl always insisted on eating more complex stuff. Luckily he decided to treat the girl this morning. He had planned to have crepes and the wraps were already made, all he needed to do was heat them up. Next was to make the cream filling and cut up the fruits that would be used.
"Its a surprise."

Homura eagerly awaited her breakfast, the scent of something sweet was lazing in the air. She really did wish that her friend would always be able to cook for her but they were in different years. She a junior and he was freshman. They would be parting sooner than later as university called out to her. Her melancholic thoughts were disrupted by the boy placing two crepes in front of her on a plate and covered with whip cream and fruit topping. "Here, eat up." A bite from her meal was enough to send her tastebuds right into heaven.
"Tatsuya-kun, won't you be my wife?" Both of the friends laughed at the statement, her thoughts of the future being drowned out for now.
