"Oh this is so much fun," Cindy said laying down her cards. "Okay, Anna, I'm really sorry, I didn't know what would happen. I want to swap lives with Anna," she said smiling.
"Won't work mom," Michael said from the seat next to her. "You can't get back anything you lose for 48 hours. For the next two days, you really have to live Anna's life, and she really has to live yours."
"But this doesn't make much sense. How can I live her life at my age? I'm 36 years old, she's fifteen. She's in high school... it won't make sense. She can't even drive."
"I dunno," Josie said chiming in. "But things seem to work themselves out. Of course," she added, eager for the opportunity to heckle Anna a little more. "You could always swap ages with Anna. But you better pick quick. There's a 2 minute time limit and then the cards pick for you."
"Time limit? Well then... I should probably do something else with Anna, if she has to live my life for the next two days..."
"Mom!" Anna cried out. "Don't you think things are bad enough for me? I don't need you making things any worse for me! Pick on someone else."
"Anna! You know what, you just convinced me this is a good thing," Cindy said, displeased at her daughter's reaction. "Here I get to give you a chance to live my life, and I like to think it's a pretty nice life, and I want to make it easier for you. But what do you want to do? You want to play the victim, like you have to suffer in my life. Well.... grow up. I want to swap... maturity with Anna!" Cindy said, sneaking in just under the time limit. "So there," she followed up a moment later before sticking her tongue out at Anna and fishing out Anna's cell phone to start checking face book while she waited for someone to deal the next hand.
"Wow... Um. I'm sorry mom," Anna said moments later as she picked up the deck for her deal. "I see your point, you were right. Here, let's play to make things better." | Members who added to this interactive story also contributed to these: |
