"Well I think we're finished here." said Phillip, eager to have so alone time with Josie now that she was into him, Then he turned to Josie and said "I think we should take off."
"Sounds good to me." said Josie with a smile on her face.
"You can't do this to me." Michael said angrily, "It's my birthday."
"Well tough." said Phillip.
"You are supposed to be my friend. I can't believe you are doing this."
"Yeah man." Jeremy agreed with his best friend, "You're a terrible person if you do this."
"And anyways." Micheal added, this time directed at Josie, "Even though Phillip stole you're feeling for me, technically you're still my girlfriend and you should stay with me on my birthday. And besides, if people saw you running around with some guy other than me, rumors would spread pretty fast about you being unfaithful. I know the rest of your mind is unchanged and I know that you won't be happy if that happened."
