All the traces pointed all fingers towards one thief, or cat burglar. I knew that she would strike at Gotham museum, they shipped a new item and stored it here two nights ago. Before following her, I did some research on the item. From what I found, it was a rare artifact of Egyptian origin, a handheld statue, in the shape of some sort of Siamese cat, with rare jewels encrusted in the eye sockets. Apparently, if held in the hands of the caster, the jewels could cast beams of light, capable of manipulating the size of all living beings, including humans. As impossible as it sounded, I couldn't take any chances, especially if Catwoman was after them.
I followed her into the museum, it was dark, silent and vast, the burglar could be crawling about anywhere in the building. Creeping through the building in search of the mischievous thief, I had a strong suspicion that this would be no ordinary night.
Further down a long hallway, I found her, naturally crawling through the burglar alarms, like the professional that she was. I watched from the shadows as she successfully reached her goal. She obtained the statue and, almost instinctively, leaped from the scene. Once again, I followed her out of the museum and onto the rooftops of the city. I followed her to a familiar spot, overlooking the entire residential district, bright under the moonlight, it was here where we both shared our first kiss, a night I would never forget.
She prepared to wait for my arrival, as if our encounters became a routine, cradling her new trophy. She was the least bit surprised when I revealed myself. "There you are," she remarked, comforting her prize by her chest, "I was hoping you would show up earlier tonight."
I was not amused. "I'm afraid I can't let you steal that artifact."
Catwoman simply chuckled. "Sorry darling," she replied, "But we're not going through all this again tonight. There's going to be a change of plans."
I was unsure what she meant with this remark, but regardless, I realized that I had to take action. I lunged towards her, but she immediately dodged my attack and leaped up to another vantage point. "Don't you ever get tired of the same old routine?" she laughed as she once again jumped out of my reach, "How about, just for one night, I do all the chasing for a change?" I did not reply. I was more concerned with subduing this petty thief, but she clearly had other intentions on her mind. "Well if you don't want a change," she added, pointing her statue at my direction, "Then I guess I'll have to make a change. Let's have ourselves a little chaos!"
Suddenly I was blinded by a gleaming light, shining from the jewels encrusted in the sockets of the statue. Overcome under the beam, I realized that something remarkable was happening to me, much to the enjoyment of Catwoman.
