Roy entered his friend's house, it was an expensive looking one, both from the outside and inside. Sturdy walls with multiple security systems to prevent break-ins and the rooms were filled with expensive furniture. By that sight, Roy could only guess that the Pokémon he is suppose to take care for the next two days is also an expensive one. Probably with high expectations too.
Roy locked the door and wondered further. He couldn't see any dog bed in the living room or any bowl on the kitchen's floor. Backyard also seemed clean. It didn't look that his friend owned any pets. Still, his friend wouldn't invite him if there's no Pokémon, so he started searching upstairs, opening each door and looking inside.
At last, on the last floor of his friend's big house, Roy finally found a room that had equipment for owning a pet. A ginormous red bed with multiple bowl of food and water next to it, all filled with different stuff that looked expensive, Roy felt a little jealous.
Then he saw her. Under the window's light, a Ninetales laid on an expensive looking mattress, glancing at him. She laid on her belly, but Roy could see between her legs that she was a female, it didn't looked scared or even bothered by the unknown man in her room.
„Hello!" Roy waved his hand. „I'll be your caretaker for the weekend. Your owner must have told you already.“ The Ninetales wasn't responding, just glancing at him. „So...“ Roy approached her, kneeling down to get a better look at her. Her fur looked golden, shiny even and it smelled wonderful, like lavender. His owner sure knew how to spoil her.
„You need something?“ Roy asked like an idiot. Of course, the Ninetales didn't respond, her eyes still locked into him. „No? Yes? Any sign you can give me?“ It felt awkward for Roy. He wasn't the best with pets, but the fact she kept staring at him, meant she wants something. Right?
