Meeting Queen Minerva.

    by: Onlyonekey Author IconMail Icon
Soon enough, Myrrh and Eton arrived at a grand set of doors, which also had some guards at attention there. Eton still felt a little wierd around these 'living statues' so to speak. Myrrh grabbed his hand in assurance.

"Relax, beyond these doors is....mother" said Myrrh after a small pause, her wings changing to a color that told Eton of how nervous she was.

"Well, (gulp) let's go" said Eton, not knowing what to expect when meeting the ruler of the Misterians. Was she a more casual ruler? Or perhaps more strict? Eton wasn't sure he wanted to find out. Then again, is she was his grandmother now, he would have to face her sooner or later. Besides, Myrrh could use the support. After all, Eton wasn't the one in deep trouble for causing the situation in which he had to become a Misterian.

"Come" said Myrrh as she gulped and proceeded forward. She pressed her hand on the door and it slowly opened at her touch. Unlike other doors that vanished on touch, this one opened like normal doors. Of course, because they were so large, they caused a huge noise as they glided across the ground.

Myrrh and Eton walked together into the hall. Eton;s mouth once again hung open as he looked at the grand majesty of the hall.

'This is the 'Hall of Miracles' told Myrrh into his thoughts. Eton wondered why they called it that. Myrrh responded, mentally again. 'It's called that way because, if you're her because you're in trouble, it'll be a miracle if you get out with no problem. That's more or less a rumor though just to scare kids into eating their healthy foods' thought Myrrh with a slight giggle. Eton gave her a dull look that pretty much said 'Seriously?'.

Anyway, as they walked along, Eton looked at the throne at the end of the hall. There sat a woman of obvious grand stature. She looked like an older version of Myrrh, with longer dark hair and wearing white clothing. Her energy wings shined behind her. They were mostly white right now, but they had a tint of red which worried Eton.

Soon enough, Myrrh and Eton arrived at the foot of the throne and met Queen Minerva's gaze.

"H-Hello mother" said Myrrh, not doing a good job of hiding the nervousness in her voice. Minerva's eyes traveled to Myrrh, making her gulp again.

"Myrrh. This is quite a problem you've caused. Bacause of your foolishness, this young man's life has been turned upside down with his friends and family in grief. How do you justify yourself?" asked Minerva, calm and cool as a ruler should. Myrrh however, was none of that. She fumbled around her words, trying to explain herself to the ruler of Skyaira.

"You can't, can't you?" said Minerva, more telling than asking. Myrrh hung her head down in shame. "I told you over and over that one day, bad things would happen if you couldn't learn how to grow up. You didn't listen to me and look at what has happened. You now seem to have the rare honor of being a mother who hasn't even mated yet. Such things could reflect horribly on you Myrrh" explained Minerva.

"I-I understand mother. It's just that..." started Myrrh, but Minerva wouldn't let her.

"Do you know? I'm not so sure. You're the only heir I have Myrrh. These are things you should have learning centuries ago. When are you going to start taking your duties seriously?" asked Minerva. She sighed and then continued. "Unfortunately, nothing can change the past. You're stuck with what you have caused Myrrh".

"W-What do you mean?" asked Myrrh, barely able to look her mother in the eye. Eton didn't know what to do in this situation. Myrrh was getting a harsh lecture from her mother but Eton really couldn't do much about it. This meeting was more about Myrrh than it was about him.

"I'm sure you know. This boy is your son now. Thus, you will be tasked with raising him properly' stated Minerva, putting empathesis on the last part. "Maybe this could be what causes you to mature, Myrrh. If I find out that you are not properly raising him, there will be severe consequences. That, I assure you. Even I can't protect you anymore Myrrh" said Minerva, ever keeping her cool.

"Yes mother" said Myrrh, a little more calm now that she knew that she wouldn't be severely punished. Then, Minerva turned to Eton.

"Now, you are the victum in all this. I'm deeply sorry for what my daughter has caused" said Minerva. Eton didn't know what to say but had to say something.

"I-It's nothing, g-grandmother" said Eton, getting used to the word. Minerva actually gave a small smile as she heard it, as if she found it amusing.

"I pray that we can make your new life as good as possible. I can assure that for your heroics" said Minerva. Eton nodded in gratitude at Minerva.

"Now, I believe you both have business to do now. You know what to do Myrrh. You're both dismissed" said Minerva.

No more needed to be said as both Misterians left the hall with many things to think about now.
