Jackie sighs. "I guess not. If Karen... I mean 'Mom' catches me, she'll have a fit."
"What's going on with you two? Are you becoming each other or something?" you ask, confused and concerned.
She twists her lip as she thinks, an expression you're used to seeing on Amanda's face. "No, I don't think so," she says. "It's funny. I don't really know anything different. I mean, I remember everything about my life and I don't seem to have any special knowledge of Amanda's, like specific memories."
She plops down in a chair, sitting very unlady-like - just like your tween niece. "But if I just let myself relax and don't push too hard, 'Amanda' comes naturally. Like the way she talks and moves, her habits. I bet I could even fake my way around her school. It's like some kind of autopilot. So if you just think of us as the people we look like for now, it should be simple."
You listen entranced to her explanation. "I guess that will make today easier at least," you finally say.
"You bet, tiger." You hear Jackie's voice behind you and you turn to see Amanda walking back in. She smells of Jackie's cigarettes. "This is incredible, Gerry!" she tells you. "If I don't think about it, I can completely pass as Jacquelyn."
She walks up to you and puts her arm around you. "So listen to 'Amanda' and just think of me as Jackie for today. We'll figure everything else out later, okay?"
You nod in agreement.
Jackie jumps up and walks over to you. She perches up on her tip-toes while putting her arms around your neck. You look at her curious as she pulls you into a very inappropriate kiss. You feel your niece's tongue force it's way into your mouth and the press of her small breasts against your chest.
"Wuh, what?" you sputter, pulling back. You feel very uncomfortable at that type of contact from your niece. Yet it was also a little erotic, and that makes you feel even more guilty.
She looks a little sad. "I just wanted one real kiss on my wedding day." Then she suddenly smiles brightly at you and says "good luck Uncle Gerry! Time for Aunt Jackie to get ready."
And she pulls Amanda out of the room to get changed.
