"Thank you for your honesty Naruto. I need to get going now." Hinata quietly replied.
"Hinata..."
"I'll be fine Naruto." Hinata cut Naruto off. "I just need some time to do something important, then I'll be able to move to the next step of my life. I'll see you around."
Hinata quickly exited Naruto's home before he could say anything else. One would expect her to be crying after having her heart broken, and if this were a few years ago she probably would be... But she was strong now. She was preparing to lead her clan. A good clan leader knew how to look outside the box to obtain his or her end goal.
Hinata fiddled with an object in her pocket. She was going to be a good leader. Naruto said he would never get over Sakura, but that's because she was always around. If Hinata took Sakura out of the picture, she was confident Naruto would eventually move on, right into her waiting arms. And while Hinata viewed Sakura as a friend, she was in the way.
When preparing for the possibility of Naruto rejecting her because of his feelings for Sakura, she came up with two different ways to get Sakura out of the picture.
The first option was killing Sakura in a discrete way with either a vore jutsu or using the shrinking jutsu. This would ensure Sakura would forever be out of the way, but it would require Hinata kill one of her friends.
The second option was to enslave Sakura. If Sakura was her slave, then Hinata could keep her away from Naruto AND not have to kill a friend. Not to mention, it would be fun to have a slave. But this strategy carried the risk of Naruto discovering Sakura.
