Ayame was cleaning up the little ramen shack in confusion. Not five minutes ago, a clone of Naruto had asked if she had seen Hinata. When she said yes, had danced around in happiness and then ran away.
Ah, the clone was back. Wait, this must be the real one because he was with Ino.....who was now looking at her face with a magnifying glass.
"Ayame-san. We have reason to believe you've seen Hinata yesterday"
Naruto sweatdropped and Ayame's cheek twitched in annoyance.
"Well, duh! I was the one who told Naruto that. Why?"
"I'll be asking the questions here? Can you detail the account?"
Ayame sighed after Naruto waved for her to go with it, " She came in with her sister yesterday and had a bowl of ramen, all the while talking about how "she would finally have you" and that you "couldn't get away from her now", while looking over some pieces of paper.."
Naruto was sweating bullets as Ayame looked at him curiously, until she decided to continue
"..then, Sakura showed up and asked to buy some spices in bulk. Then she saw Hinata and her sister, and told them her mother and her were making a roast and could really use their help. Hinata agreed. It must be a really big roast, because she could cook an entire cow with the amount of spices she bought. She had a ton of vegetables too". Ayame told them.
"Now this is a hot lead! Sakura has to know where she is. Thanks for the info Ayame-san!", Ino proclaimed as she darted out of the stand. Ayame looked to Naruto.
"She's dragging you along on one of her investigations again?"
Naruto huffed, " No"
"Come on Watson!"
"Coming Ino-chan!", Naruto replied as he raced to catch up.
Ayame giggled. She definitely wasn't dragging him.
