Naruto was about to ask Sakura if everything was ok when she started walking away and growling with fury, so he decided it was better to wait a bit. He wanted to help his friend and teammate, but he felt if he pressed right now he would only get beaten up. Making a mental note to ask her about it later, he went on with his day.
It took a couple of hours for Sakura to calm down and rationalize the situation to understand why it riled her up so much that Naruto was getting a girlfriend. At first she thought she wanted Naruto to ask her on a date, finally ready to give him a chance she denied him for so many years, but something wasn't adding up. It was true that she no longer cared about Sasuke, but she wasn't exactly crushing on Naruto or anything of the sort. A part of her didn't see a future with him in a normal relationship.
Was it because she feared the tight friendship they developed could end? That made no sense, she was sure she could still on rely on Naruto, as loyal as he was.. But Sakura frowned when she realized the real reason was a bit more selfish than that, she would no longer be Naruto's priority.
Despite not wanting to be in a romantic relationship with him, Sakura just took it for granted how devoted Naruto was towards her. After all these years, she knew she could make Naruto do anything she wanted and easily persuade him to do things he normally wouldn't enjoy doing, just to please her. She didn't usually take advantage of this, bar the odd free invitation to lunch or getting him to do some errands while she was busy doing something else, but she realized that kind of attention and devotion was what was going to disappear from her life thanks to Naruto's new girlfriend.
Sakura spent the rest of the day trying to battle these unusual feelings, but in the end she only got mor excited at the prospect of having Naruto as a servant instead of a boyfriend or husband. She knew he was no longer that annoying kid and matured into a strong, loyal and caring man with an almost guaranteed future as Hokage, but deep down Sakura couldn't see him as anything else than her little lapdog, willing to jump the moment she snapped her fingers. With that battle lost, Sakura spent a pleasurable night picturing scenarios where she would take advantage of Naruto, from turning him into a little servant taking care of every menial chore she had to make her life easier, to having her way with him on bed completely under her terms.. even parading him in public as her little bitch! At one point she even pictured herself as the Hokage instead of Naruto, why not? She wasn't as powerful but she was smarter, and why would someone that was putty in her hands lead the village instead of her?
As Sakura kept daydreaming and getting excited at what could happen, the best part is how confident she felt about it. She was completely sure Naruto would be willing to do.. almost everything she wanted of him just to remain close to her, to get the privilege of enjoying her presence.. For now. This Suki girl was clearly an obstacle and a threat for those beautiful scenarios, what if Naruto fell in love and started to forget about her? Sakura couldn't have that, she needed to deal with the situation.
The good news is that they just had a single date, she could just talk with Naruto and make him ditch that girl to start a relationship with her the way she wanted to be, or she could find out more about this Suki girl and maybe do something that could help Naruto see where his priorities should lie? She squirmed with pleasure at the possibility of Naruto himself taking the initiative, willingly accepting his place as Sakura's bitch.. But that would require some encouragement.
What happens next?
