What am I going to do today? you think as you comb your hair. You could go for a walk in the gardens, that's always nice. You could spend some time with your step sisters. You continue to think as you go down to breakfast.
"Gwen. I've been thinking," you father says at breakfast, "It's time that you knew how to buy servents."
"Jefory, why should she? You know we can always get another servent to do it." Delia says, you never call her 'mother' unless you have to.
"I know but it's a good skill to learn. It shows the villagers that we take interest in the things they do."
"It's alright...mother, I'd like to know what to look for in a servent." If anyone noticed the pause before you said mother they don't show it.
"That's my girl! A little bit after breakfast then?" father asks. You nod. You're not sure if you did that because you actually do want to go with your father or if you just wanted to get out of this stuffy old castle.
