Leonard groaned. This was a nightmare. Stuck at an inch tall, and now his mother walked in? She towered over him like a... well, a tower, her voice resounding through the entire apartment with its shrill demands.
"What the heck is she doing here?" Leonard yelled. "She's so well organised that she'd never forget to inform me of an upcoming 'appointment'!"
"It was going to be a surprise," Sheldon said.
"A surprise?"
"Having your mother here by your side would be good for you when the time came to congratulate me on my most important discovery ever. You do have an annoying habit of being sarcastic, so I thought she'd be able to get you to sincerely thank me for allowing you to help."
"Allowing me to help? Each of us has an equal share in that machine!"
"And an equal share in being teeny-tiny now," Raj mumbled.
"Not to break up this touching argument," Howard said, "but Leonard's mother is aware of the nature of the 'discovery'? That is to say, she knows that it's a shrinking machine, and will be looking for us on the floor?"
