The family goes to an endless buffet.

The family didn’t have much money. So they decided they could get a big meal at a buffet and it would be cheaper. When they walked in there wasn’t many other families there. The only ones that were there were other poor families because they had a special where if you came with your family it would be cheaper. So it was just Hilda’s family and a few other poor families in the buffet. When they got there the buffet had signs of a contest that was being held. It came along with their thanksgiving special where whatever family ate the most plates got discounted visits for the next year. And They servers made you fill up your plate with enough food so you couldn’t skimp out. Hilda’s family saw it and made it their goal to eat the most. As they were eating the people in the restaurant were counting how many plates each family was eating. Throughout the contest families would drop out left and right but Hilda’s family was one of the final families. At the end there were 2 families left. Hilda’s who had eaten 15 plates and the other family who had eaten 15 plates as well. But the other family had eaten their plates faster then Hilda’s so they would win if it ended in a tie. The other family had 6 people so they had an advantage but they didn’t have gluttonous family members like Hilda’s family. Hilda’s parents ate 4 plates each while Bertha ate 5 and hilda ate 2. Hilda was way smaller then her family members so she was full with only 2 but the rest of her family was also full and overweight so it was harder to get more food. Hilda has a third plate in front of her and she was trying to eat it for the family. Her mother said, “ Do it for the family sweetheart. “. And that’s all she needed. She finished her plate and the buffet cheered. She then fell asleep from eating so much.
