You grab a stick of gum from the candy racks and step outside for some fresh air. The morning breeze was cool and crisp, perfect for a mid-morning walk. You take out a piece of gum and start chewing as you walk past your car and step out onto the road. You hadn't noticed it before because you were too preoccupied, but it has been almost 20 minutes since a car has gone by. Then again, it was a monday morning and the town usually wasn't all that busy to begin with, even on holidays. You take a look back at the gas station and then further down the road. All you could see were trees and weeds blowing in the wind, not a single vehicle in sight. You want to keep walking before it gets too hot out, but if you leave now you might end up getting fired...
