Cameron sighed as he glanced over at his assigned partner as she prepared to leave. Bethany Andrews was kind of an odd person. She had seemed nice enough in the few exchanges Cameron had had with her in the past, but her gothic fashion sense and the dark and strange stuff she said tended to make most people avoid her. Even though she acted like she didn't care about anyone, Cameron always seemed to get the feeling that she was actually kind of lonely.
When class was dismissed, Cameron got up out of his seat and walked over too Bethany. "So, uh, Bethany," he said to her. "When do you want to start work on this project?"
"Oh, how about today after school?" she asked, turning to face him. As she did so, her shoulder-length raven hair fell down into her face, almost completely blocking it from view. "It's not like I have Friday night plans anyway." She swept her hair back with her black-nailed hand, revealing her heavy black eye makeup and deep maroon lipstick.
"Oh, sure. I don't either," Cameron responded with a slight laugh.
"Great. Here's my address," she said, pulling one of her notebooks out. Cameron couldn't help but notice her apparel as he watched her scribble something on the page. Her outfit consisted of a short and tight black dress with a low neckline and short sleeves, a pair of purple and black striped tights, and a pair of knee-high gothic boots with a ton of buckles on them and quite a sizable platform and heel, which boosted her height from 5'5" to 5'9" made her quite a bit taller than Cameron. He also noted a black choker necklace with metal studs and a silver chain with what looked like a pentagram hanging from it around her neck.
Bethany finished writing in her notebook, then tore the corner off and handed it to Cameron. "Uh, what does this say?" Cameron asked, unable to read the messy handwriting. His own was pretty bad, but at least he could actually read it.
"Twenty-three Willow Drive," she clarified.
"Okay," Cameron said. "See you later, I guess."
"Cool," Bethany replied before hurrying off to her next class. Cameron followed her out the door and made his way to his next class.
