This choice: you let me do your hair and makeup • Go Back...Chapter #4you let me do your hair and makeup by: DragonFish Cameron blinked at his sister, unsure if she was joking or serious. “Uh, what?” he asked, his voice carrying his skepticism.
Anna grinned, clearly amused by his reaction. “Come on, it’ll be fun! I have all this new makeup I want to try out, and you have the perfect face for it.”
Cam groaned and flopped onto her bed dramatically. “Yeah, because looking like a girl is exactly what I want to do today.”
Anna poked his arm. “Oh, don’t be so dramatic. It’s just makeup! It washes off, you know.”
He sighed, knowing she wasn’t going to drop it that easily. “Why don’t you just practice on yourself?”
“Because that’s boring,” Anna said, rolling her eyes. “Besides, I want to see how alike I can make us look. We’re twins, after all. Think of it as a fun experiment!”
Cam ran a hand through his straight, medium-length brown hair, which reached halfway down his neck, and frowned. He had always been aware of how similar they looked, but he never thought about how much their features could actually match. “Still not likely.”
Anna tilted her head, giving him her signature persuasive smile. “Okay, how about this—if you let me do it, I’ll do one of your chores for you.”
That got his attention. “Any chore?” he asked, raising an eyebrow.
She nodded. “Within reason.”
Cam thought about it for a moment. “The laundry. For two weeks.”
Anna pursed her lips, clearly debating if it was worth it. Finally, she sighed. “Fine. Two weeks. But you have to let me do your hair, too.”
Cam hesitated, but the idea of getting out of laundry duty was pretty tempting. He sighed. “Alright, fine. But no pictures!”
Anna clapped her hands together in excitement. “Deal! Now, sit still. This is going to be so much fun.”
Cam rolled his eyes, but as he sat there letting Anna work her magic, he couldn’t help but smirk a little. At the very least, this would be an amusing way to kill some time. As she worked, she giggled now and then, making small comments about how alike their features were. “Seriously, Cam, if you had your hair styled like mine, people would totally mistake you for me.”
“Yeah, yeah,” he muttered. “Just don’t get any ideas.”
Anna smirked but said nothing, her eyes twinkling with mischief. She carefully applied foundation to even out his complexion, then shaped and filled in his eyebrows, making them match her own perfectly. She dusted a soft blush over his cheeks, added subtle eyeshadow, and even curled his lashes before applying mascara. When she pulled back to admire her work, she gave a triumphant nod.
Next, she grabbed a hairbrush and went to work on his medium-length brown hair, styling it as close to her own as possible. She adjusted his part, added a bit of volumizing spray, and tucked back a few strands with a matching hair clip. The transformation was complete.
When she stepped back, she beamed. “Oh wow, this is eerie. It’s like looking in a mirror.”
Cam glanced at his reflection, his lips parting slightly in shock. His naturally effeminate features had been enhanced, his eyes seemed larger, and the careful styling of his hair made their similarities undeniable. He was a mirror image of Anna.
“Okay, this is weird,” he muttered, tilting his head slightly to compare their reflections.
Anna laughed. “Told you! You could totally pass as me. We should prank someone with this.” indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
