"The aliens keep humans as pets," Sally said, "They breed us like animals and apparently condition us to obey them without question."
"Great," Jake said sarcastically, "Come on, let's go find the mirror and get out of this reality - I don't know about you, but I don't want to end up some Martian's pet."
However, before they could walk back into the warehouse, there was a sudden humming sound, and all of a sudden something flew down to land in front of them. It was an eight-foot tall bluish-gray robot; its body was a tube, with about a half a dozen arms sticking out of the torso, a disk at the bottom emitting a blue glow that seemed to be keeping it hovering in the air, and a head that was just a sphere with a single glowing green eye.
"Wild humans detected," the robot stated in a monotone, "Beginning capture process."
"Wha- wait!" Jake said, holding up his hands in a pleading manner.
"Don't talk to it! Run!" Sally shouted, turning to run herself. Unfortunately, before either of them could get anywhere, the robot extended two of its arms, firing off streams of electric-blue energy. The energy hit Jake and Sally; they yelled in shock and pain, before they fell to the ground, unconscious.
