Okay, here's a few things I've changed just for this story;

Eve Willows is no longer an orphan, she does have a family in this continuity, along with a few friends and high school.

Her friend is Max Digh(17), a teen that lost a leg due to a car wreck, but has a prosthetic leg to cover this. He's very calm, but when he gets angry, he has enough strength to punch a hole through a brick wall. Barely taller than Eve.
