It definitely had not been the first time that one of them had eaten themselves into a food coma. As much as Alice hated to admit, it seemed like having a big appetite was a prerequisite for friendship with Ronnie. But she couldn't help but think that perhaps Melissa had overeaten just a tad. That even with her amazing appetite, she had really outdone herself. Alice wondered idly how many laps around the track it would take to work off the swollen belly that crested just under her friend's uniform.
It was probably a lot'
Ronnie turned to Alice and shushed the already silent girl, pointing at the slumbering track star as she napped on the couch. Alice nodded her head an affirmative 'yes' with a little smile before Ronnie retreated into the kitchen.
'She must be really tired.' Ronnie whispered at a level so that Alice could just barely hear her, 'Poor thing's got a lot on her plate. I know being in Ms. Walker's Culinary Arts class alone is probably stressful enough.'
'Yeah...'
Ronnie was probably right. From everything she and Mel knew about each other, it was obvious that Mel was the more involved one on campus. She took harder classes, made better grades with half the studying, and managed to keep so fit and trim by working off everything she ate' Alice could believe that she was tired.
Of course, it would have been easier if she hadn't seen her devour all that cheesecake.
Ronnie returned to Alice with a remaining slice of said dessert'smaller than what she'd given Melissa, but not by much. It was still thick and wide, and tantalizing enough to give Alice's indulged appetite a run for its money. The red strawberry syrup drizzled on top made it look so much sweeter' almost seductive, in a way. Despite her already epic meal, Alice found herself watering at the mouth!
'You know, I think we need to take better care of her. We're her friends, right?' Ronnie said, hushed compassionately as she placed the plate in front of Alice, 'I mean, part of an RA is to make sure you newbees don't get into trouble around here.'
'Uh-huh'' Alice attempted to avoid the light amounts of saliva pooling in her mouth, 'She' um' had been doing really well so far' today must just be an off day for her.. I guess''
Ronnie's face brightened for a moment before she waddled back into the kitchen, returning with an unused fork for Alice. She handed it to the eager blonde, who almost instinctively cut herself a modest bite.
'Well when I say trouble I mean' trouble.' Ronnie lead vaguely, 'I know you're worried about staying in shape, but there's a reason that old track field is blocked off.'
Alice gulped, the sweet cheesecake going down bitter and full of regret.
'I don't exactly know why,' Ronnie continued, 'But part of my job is to make sure you guys follow the rules. I mean, I've known about it for a week now and I haven't said anything. But if Ms. Polluck ever found out that I let you guys run around and do whatever you want, all three of us would get in trouble.'
Alice's face fell a thousand feet, her lower lip creasing into the saddest frown that anyone had ever seen. A real stickler for law and order, there was a sneaky suspicion in the back of her mind that told her she and Mel shouldn't have been running there. The padlock should have been a big enough hint'oh how could she have been so stupid?!
'Now I'm not gonna report you.' Ronnie said slyly, 'But I think it's important that you know that you shouldn't be there or, uh, who knows what Ms. Polluck would do.'
'C-Call my Mother?' Alice asked pathetically
'Call your mother, that's probably exactly what she'd do.' Ronnie affirmed, 'And I really don't want that. You're a great student and a great friend, and you've actually helped tone down Megan of all people.' Ronnie touched Alice's arm assuringly, 'I'd hate to see you get in trouble because you wanted to run around in circles.'
Alice started sniffling as Ronnie's arm-holding became a side-hug. She wrapped the mousy girl in her arms and pressed her deep into her breasts, enveloping her in her soft belly and patting her on the back sweetly.
'I know Mel has it in your head that you need to run, but that's why we have Gym Class.' Ronnie said softly, 'Maybe you two can sign up together for it next semester. But for right now, I need you to stay away from that track. Agreed?'
'A-Agreed...'
'Good.' Ronnie smiled, 'Now go on and eat your cheesecake or it'll get cold. Warm. Whatever cheesecake gets when it stays out for too long.'
