By around diner time, that pasta was starting to seem like a good idea...
Against Rozy's hopes of having the room all to herself this year, Rozy's roommate finally showed up at around 5 o'clock. She was in the middle of another round of "browsing" when she heard keys jingling beyond the door. Thank All Might she wasn't watching something, or else she wouldn't have heard it. Rozy quickly went for the x on the window, only to hit minimize instead, and turned towards the opening door.
Among the assortment of bags beyond the doorway stood a shorter -- but not loli short, thank All Might -- red head with a thin build. She wasn't a rail by any means, nor was she fit, but she was certainly a freshman. It kinda reminded Rozy of what she looked like her first year. Though, she still somehow manged to be taller than Rozy, somehow.
Unfortunately, that's where the similarities between the two seemed to end, because upon catching her first glimpse of the room, the girl had a look that read "shocked"
... or maybe disgusted?
... disapointed? That sigh was definitely a disappointed one.
Regardless, as Rozy's new roommate turned towards her and put on an obviously forced smile, she suddenly thought that having pasta sounded really good right now.
"H-hi... I'm Evaline... I guess I'm your new roommate huh?"
Rozy's first though was that Evaline's name reminded her of an anime she watched she didn't really like it, the main character was kinda weak, but a lot of people on the internet like it so the impression stuck. She couldn't place the name of the show though.
Though, this was hardly the time for that, after an uneasy introduction, Evaline had started looking over he roommate rather than the room. Suddenly, Rozy felt really really embarrassed as Evaline looked over her plush figure. Her tight clothes didn't help either. While she didn't mind, having comfort ware being stretched by your body didn't exactly make a good impression. Rozy couldn't remember the last time she'd felt ashamed of being fat, but being looked at like this definitely made her remember the feeling.
"Well, uhh...'"
All Rozy could think of was how much pasta to eat tonight. 2 plates? 5?
"I guess... Nice to--"
Suddenly, Rozy's mind was thrown back into the present. If she doesn't do something now, things really would get worse! Who the hell eats 10 plates of pasta anyway!? And so Rozy bolted up from her seat, her entire body wobbling a few times from the sudden movement, and said.
"Heeeyyyyyy, uhhh, nice to meet you too! I'm Rozalin Rhodes! Though, uhh, everyone just calls me Rozy! ehehe... sooooooooo you've got a lot of bags over there want some, uhh, help?"
"..."
A long uncomfortable silence hung in the air. That sudden outburst definitely supersized Evaline, so it took her a few moments to let out a strained,
"N-no... it's okay, I'd rather put my stuff away myself... but... thanks?"
Rozy regretted saying anything. She found herself in the weird forced cheery attitude that definitely came off as awkward. Great, now her roommate would think that she's a nervous wreck. Awesome.
Not that it was entirely inaccurate right now...
"Oh... ahh... Ok! I'll just... uhh... I'll... go get some food! hehe I haven't even eaten lunch yet, so I should probably just, you know... head over! Well, uh take your time!"
That was probably the most awkward way to eject from that conversation, but she didn't exactly have other options, and on top of that, her stomach was grumbling at her, like it was trying to give her an excuse to bolt out of there. Evaline said something as she left, but she didn't hear it. She didn't want to hear it. All she wanted to do was sit down, eat some food, and futilely attempt to forget everything that just happened. And right now, she really felt like having some pasta.
----------------------------------------------------------
As Rozy rushed out of the room, body shaking all the while, Evaline called out,
"Wait!"
but Rozy didn't stop, she couldn't tell if Rozy didn't hear her, or just didn't want to.
"... I don't know which one's my room..."
Evaline stood still in the room for a few minutes, thinking to her self. A few minutes passed, and she looked up to see a cheap All Might plushy after looking at it for a few seconds, all she could do was sigh.
----------------------------------------------------------
In her own dimension of embarrassment and regret, all Rozy could think about was how good the food at school is. And thank All Might it is that good, because right now, more than ever, she NEEDED it. At least, that's what she told herself.
Currently, Rozy is already on her 2nd plate, even though no more than 10 minutes had passed. Which was especially surprising considering how big the plates at Buttercomb were. She was tearing into the plate of spaghetti she had lying in front of her slurping the noodles into her mouth with near reckless abandon. She didn't want to think about anything else other that food, so she filled her mind, and her self, with nothing but. Eventually, that plate was gone as well, wiped away by the emotional void that was Rozy, She quickly rose to grab a new plate, hopping to start on thirds.
While making her way towards the food, Rozy found her mind drifting towards her roommate, replaying their interaction in her head. Her roommate was probably sick of her already... the worst part was that she seemed kinda nice... if only they could have been friends... if only she wasn't fat,... if only she didn't like...
No! That's not right. She loved anime, and all the shows she watched. There's no way she could regret that? And being a little chubby? Whatever. Most of the girls here were at least a little chunky anyway. All she had to do was eat, and get over it. forget Eva or Evaline or whatever.
She picked out a particularly nice looking dish of Chicken Alfredo, which seemed to be particularly creamy, and finally sat her sizable ass back down at a table. Then she started on her 3rd plate. She didn't know weather this'd be her last plate or not because right now, she didn't care how many she'd eat. She only wanted to feel better, and she'd eat until that happened.
How much did she eat? Well...
