Chloe wandered home from her work over the cobblestone streets of her hometown. It was looking like a thunderstorm was brewing up, the first thick drops leaving dark circles on the pavement.
"Oh crap, don't do this to me." She pleaded to no-one in particular. Today had started out as any typical late-summer day, but by the time her shift was over, dark clouds were packing together ominously overhead. She wasn't dressed for rain, wearing a simple summer dress and jacket that were more decorative than practical, she had already put on a scarf to ward off the chilly late-September winds of Amsterdam. Readjusting her scarf, she increased her step. Her dress boots were click-clacking on the increasingly slippery cobblestones.
A few moments later the drops were starting to turn into a downpour. She frantically looked around for shelter, and ran into the closest store. On the outside it was a dilapidated building, urgently needing a few splashes of paint, and the inside wasn't much prettier. Row upon row of haphazardly hung clothing racks were stretching all the way to the back of the dimly-lit store. There were no other customers, and a bored looking girl was sitting behind the counter, reading a magazine. Chloe wasn't the kind of girl that usually went browsing through such stores, much preferring to get her clothes online. Se looked outside, it didn't look like the rain was stopping anytime soon.
"Well, now that I'm here anyway, might as well give browsing in real life a try..." She slowly strolled through the isles, hoping the rain would stop soon.
