They were eaten by the judge.

"You heard me right, the rumors were kind of true,
after what I heard I thought that you knew."

Twilight and Applejack couldn't believe what they just heard. Did their friend Zecora actually eat ponies or other zebras before? Applejack asked the zebra exactly that question.

"I used to be a judge so yes, if you murder or steal,
your fate with my stomach I'd seal.
But do not worry for I know it is different here my friend,
my stomach shall not be anyponies end."

Both ponies were glad but it was also hard for them to swallow that their friend performed cannibalism in the past. But this justice system got Twilight thinking, if they implemented it all criminals would think VERY carefully before doing something. Come to think of it she was invited to the mayor to discuss the rising crime rate and possible solutions. Should she try and suggest the zebra way of punishment?
