Germany's desperation

Tails sees he's clear so he pulls the trigger. His big 30mm canon cuts the Mustang in half. Tails realizes he can't keep fighting or he'll die. He and his remain 4 fighters bug out. The mission was a failure and the B17s hit their target.

Through the next two years Tails only scores three kills and is shot down 10 times. He knows the Mustang is too good of a fighter for the 109 and 190. Luckily there's a new plane on its way that will change the world.
