Harry and Ron ended up deciding to use the wand on a fellow Gryffindor, although they still weren't sure who the unconscious guinea pig would be. They decided to go to the common room, where they could find someone on whom they could test the power of the wand. Once there, they found only three people, Hermione, Ginny and Neville.
