You wake up feeling rather terrible. Your head hurts and your whole body feels heavy. After lying still for some time you sit up and wonder why you're fully dressed before remembering how you suddenly felt so tired yesterday evening. According to your alarm clock it is now 10 AM, which is a bit earlier than you'd normally get up on weekends, but still means you were sleeping for a rather long time.
Groaning, you stand up groggily and trudge out of your room. You go downstairs and meet your mom in the lobby.
"Oh, Jazz, you're awake," she says. "You went to sleep so early... are you feeling alright?"
"I'm okay," you mutter as you walk into the kitchen, being naturally quite hungry. You decide not to mention your headache, not wanting Mom to worry. You pour out some milk and cereal for yourself and sit down at the dining table to eat it.
Mom studies you closely, with a concerned expression. "You look a bit pale... are you coming down with something? ...Are you sure those chemicals were safe? Maybe you should see a doctor..."
"I'll be fine," you say in between mouthfuls of cereal, reminding yourself you were assured the serum had no effect on humans.
Once you have some food in your belly you feel a little better - still not great, but you're not about to waste a perfectly good Saturday. As you finish eating you consider what you're going to do today,
