"So, um, where is the costume?" the puzzled Isabel asked.
"It's what you're looking at!" Michelle said, still talking with a hint of anticipation in her voice, almost as if she was nervous to tell.
"Umm, all I'm looking at are these bikinis in different colors?" Isabel continued asking.
"Yes, exactly" Michelle said. "The bikinis are representing the different countries and languages our attendants are speaking!"
"Yeah I get that, but where are the costumes?" Isabel asked, growing a bit anxious.
"That's...the costumes...?" said Michelle. "And since your main language is Norwegian from your native country, your costume is this bikini" Michelle said, taking the one with the Norwegian flag on it. It was a two-piece regular string bikini, but Isabel couldn't really fathom the whole thing at first.
"Are you kidding me? A freakin' bikini is going to be my costume?!" Isabel hissed to Michelle, who immediately changed the tone to a more stricter tone.
"Listen, rookie... Everyone who works for us wears that at work. Have you read our name? 'Air Netto', we strip things down: Prices, flight time, and our flight attendants. You can choose to walk out that door right now, but we're offering you a great salary for this, and in this market... You'd be dang stupid to take it just because of a dang bikini, girl. What do you wear to a beach? Khaki pants? So do you take this job, or not?!"
Isabel backed off a bit after the change of tone in Michelle's voice, suddenly becoming way more serious and stern, almost belittling Isabel. She looked at the bikini and realized that it was in fact what she normally wore on a beach. However, that was a different setting than this.
"So...umm... Is that it, the bikini?" Isabel asked.
"And flip flops." Michelle added quickly, shoving a pair of Norwegian-flagged flip flops from under the hook that the Norwegian-flagged bikinis was hanging from. "So are you in, or out?" Michelle asked.
Isabel thought about it for a moment. She would get paid well, which was really important to her. However, the degrading work outfit did make it less tempting.
