Fuck you, Bill,” she spat, her voice rising. “I wish I was stronger and you were the weak one!”
The air around them seemed to shift, thickening with an almost electric charge. Bill froze as a strange sensation washed over him—a tingling warmth spreading through his body, followed by an odd… shrinking feeling. He looked down at his hands and gasped. His fingers seemed thinner, more delicate. His wrists looked smaller, his arms less muscular.
Kimberly, on the other hand, was changing too—but in the opposite direction. Her shoulders broadened, her arms filling out with lean muscle. Her capri pants strained against her thighs as they grew thicker, more powerful. She stood taller now, her posture straighter, more confident. Even her voice had changed, deeper and more commanding as she let out a cocky laugh.
Kimberly’s grin widened as she flexed her biceps, the muscles rippling under her skin. “Hah! Look at you,” she said, her voice deeper, more commanding. “I’ve always been stronger than you, nerd!” She tossed the stone back to him with a dismissive flick of her wrist, and Bill fumbled to catch it, his movements clumsy and uncoordinated.
His eyes widened in disbelief. Wait, what? Always?
