"Oh crap," Mike said as the remote loudly clattered to the floor. Pushing his dog off, he rushed over to where the device had fallen and picked it up.
"I hope that didn't break it," he said to himself as he looked it over.
Upon inspection, the remote appeared to be intact. No pieces had broken off and the screen appeared to be displaying things normally. "Thank God," Mike said, his fear of being stuck fused with his sister subsiding.
All seemed to be well, so Mike made his way upstairs and into what had been Megan's room before he had fused with her. What he wasn't aware of was the fact that the remote had, in fact, been damaged by the fall. The impact hadn't done much to the device's exterior, but it had caused a minor hiccup in it's internal memory systems.
Ignorant to these facts, Mike set his things down and prepared to return to normal. He took aim at himself with the remote and selected himself as a target, then he hit the De-Fuse button. As with his previous uses of the remote, he was blinded by a bright flash of white light as soon as he hit the button. His vision soon returned to him however ...
