Rita was with Georgette when Oliver asked said poodle if Rita could come into her special bedroom during a visit that she was having with her fellow street dogs and their owner, Fagin, to the Foxworth mansion, after they accepted the invitation for that visit, which Jenny requested.
The two of them and the kitten were chatting with one another and, in the cases of Oliver and Rita, snuggling up, to which Georgette rolled her eyes with a smile.
After a time, Georgette offered Rita a few of her chocolates, since she knew that the saluki had probably never had such a treat before, and, while still plenty arrogant despite being a much better person, or poodle, than she previously was, plus knowing how important Rita was as part of how Sykes was taken out and being in a generous mood, which was very rare for her, Georgette felt she would see if Rita enjoyed them the way she did.
Rita accepted the offer, but after eating the chocolates, the last thing that she, Oliver or Georgette expected/counted on happened, and that was the way she suddenly became increasingly obese second by second, though it stopped after a time, but all three of them then saw the horrible aftereffects that Rita had been nailed with once she'd finished the chocolates.
Both dogs and the kitten were plenty shocked and confused, and just then, to the further surprise of all three, who should show up in Georgette's bedroom but...
