"This is actually a really great opportunity for you. You're going to be expanding your repertoire a bit beyond the usual human and dog stuff that you usually do." Rebecca said continuing to sell Shawn on the job. "Wait, so I'm not going to be a dog? I guess that'll be a nice change of pace I guess if I have to be an animal. But what is it."
Rebecca breathed a sigh of relief that her cousin seemed kind of interested, time to drop the bomb. "Well, the studio I'm in contact with is looking for a highly intelligent animal and I, and by I, I mean you, were recommended for the part of Luci the primate."
Shawn looked at his phone in silence. "You want me to be a monkey. A monkey named Luci."
"The studio wants you to be a highly intelligent primate, and it has to be female, sorry." There was a moment of silence so Rebecca continued to make her case, "Come on Shawn, it'll be fun. I don't think you've ever done a primate before and it'll be much more human than any dumb dog part I'd have gotten you."
"Well...I guess it'll be nice to be able to keep having opposable thumbs..."
"That's right! And you'll be able to just walk around naked and poop wherever you want."
"Geez Becca what kind of animal do you take me for."
"I expect you to be a primate by the time I get to your pigsty of an apartment in about an hour." Shawn looked around his room when he heard his cousin say this. She wasn't exactly wrong about his place being a mess, mainly because he had the clothes of about 30 different people strewn about his apartment. Of course all thirty of those people were just different forms of Shawn but that didn't really leave an excuse for the mess. Rebecca continued on the phone, "I've already got your transportation ready to the set. You start today and the first check is already in your account."
"So glad you're giving me a choice in the matter." Shawn grumbled.
"What can I say, I knew you'd say yes."
"Care to give me the low down on what kind of monkey I need to shapeshift into, I kind of need you to be more specific."
"Oh sorry about that Shawn, my bad. The studio wants you to be a...."
