Amy thought about Ethan, the boy who started tutoring her in math and science. She realized that she really didn’t need Ethan as a tutor anymore, but she still wanted to remain friends with him. After all, she had started to develop a crush on the boy, who was twelve years old and in the sixth grade but who was in the same middle school as her. Amy realized that Ethan was very concerned about his mother, who was very sick since she had been diagnosed with breast cancer a few months earlier.

Amy closed her eyes, while standing in her own bedroom, and wished to be at Ethan’s house. Then, in an instant, she was standing in Ethan’s living room!

“Oh, cool! It worked!” she grinned, as she walked into Ethan’s bedroom.

Ethan was about average with black hair and brown eyes. He was always friendly and helpful. He was sitting at his desk, studying science.

“Hey…” Amy whispered, as she quietly knocked on the door.

“Amy! How did you get here?” Ethan said, as he slowly got up from his chair at the desk.

“Oh, I let myself in! What are you doing?”

“I’m doing science homework… It’s hard!”

“Ohh… But you’re so smart! You’re the smartest kid in the world!” Amy grinned. “You know everything about math and science! You should finish this in five minutes!”

Ethan blinked. Suddenly, he felt his IQ rise dramatically. Ethan became smart… REALLY SMART! He suddenly knew and understood everything, just like Amy had said.
“Oh… Yes, of course! Give me five minutes to finish!”

Ethan sat down and quickly finished all his science and math homework assignments, which now seemed super easy for him, now that Amy had made him into a total genius!

Amy sat next to Ethan as he finished up his assignments. When he was done, they stood up and they quietly walked over to Ethan’s mother’s bedroom.

“Your poor mom!” Amy sigh. “Don’t worry, though! She’ll get over this cancer thing really soon!”

“Uhh… Are you sure?” Ethan asked her.

“Yeah, trust me! She’ll get better!” Amy said confidently.

“Wow, that would be the best news ever!” Ethan said, as he led Amy out of the room. From there, the two of them walked back to Ethan’s bedroom where they sat together on the edge of his bed.

Amy sat down and looked Ethan right in his deep, dark, brown eyes. She instantly knew absolutely everything about him, including his deepest wishes and desires.

“Gosh, Ethan… You’re such a cute boy… With your cute, short, black hair…” she giggled.

“Yeah, but all the guys with blond hair are the ones who get all the girls!” Ethan groaned. “Not guys with black hair, like me!”

Amy quietly wished for Ethan to have blond hair instead of his usual black hair.

Suddenly, Ethan’s hair color began to change! It became lighter as it turned from jet black to dark brown. Moments later, it turned to light brown before it faded to a blond tint.

“Go and look in the mirror, Ethan!” Amy smiled, as she saw her tutor’s hair change color before her very eyes.

“AAUGH! MY HAIR!” Ethan exclaimed when he saw his reflection in the mirror. “I’m blond!”

“Yeah! Isn’t that what you always wanted?” Amy smiled.

“Y-y-yeah! I-I-I m-m-mean… of course! But… How did you do that?” Ethan wondered as he turned to face Amy, who was sitting on the edge of his bed.

“Ohh… A little magic trick!” she shrugged.

“No kidding!” Ethan shouted. “That’s intense!”

Amy then got up and walked up to Ethan, who was maybe four inches taller than her.

“You know I’ve always had a crush on you, right?” Amy asked him.

Ethan looked down on her. Did she appear to be shrinking?

“Uhh… You did? I mean… Really?”

Ethan looked down on Amy and smiled. Amy was such a cute girl. But, somehow it seemed like her face was getting farther and farther away from his gaze. Then, when he looked up, everything in the room seemed smaller. In fact, the entire room seemed smaller.

“Hey… What’s going on?” Ethan wondered as he looked around. Everything seems to be… like… shrinking or something!”

“Everything’s the same, Ethan!” Amy grinned. “Nothing and nobody has shrunk!”

“But… But… you seem… like… short…” Ethan said, feeling confused.

“That’s because you’re having a little growth spurt, my dear Ethan!” Amy giggled.

Ethan turned around and walked back into the bathroom again. He noticed that things were smaller now. When he saw his reflection, he realized that he had indeed grown almost six inches taller than before! Ethan was standing about six feet tall now!

“Holy crap! What is going on here?”

He walked back into his bedroom, where Amy finally confronted him.

“You always wanted to be taller and have blond hair… now your wishes have come true!” Amy grinned.

“But… How is that possible?”

Amy then walked right up to the taller boy.

“I’m a Goddess now… I can do anything!”

Just then, the bedroom door opened. It was Ethan’s father.

“Ethan! Your mother… has been cured of her breast cancer!”

Ethan and his dad then embraced for two minutes, crying as they held on to each other.

After his dad had left, Ethan hugged Amy.

“Thanks, Amy! I know you did that! You cured mom! Just like you made me taller and you gave me blond hair!”

Amy and Ethan hugged one another for five minutes, crying the whole time.

Finally, when they were done, they decided to get out of the house.

Where did they go?
