Chapter #4

Tristan

    by: TheMM Author IconMail Icon
You call up a good friend of yours named Charles, and explain the situation. You talk to him about how you've decided that you want to find someone worthy, who won't abuse the power, hopefully, that they're given, and become a worthy new God. And that person in question will be his son Tristan.

Charles agrees, trusting you, and knowing you'd do nothing to harm his son. He lives only a few doors down, and so he gives permission for Tristan to walk over to your house.

Tristan is rather small for his age, about 3'10", and he is teased about his height. He has short, messy blonde hair and light blueish-grey eyes, which look around. He's clearly nervous, and you carefully comfort him, explaining more in detail that the God Formula, once he drinks it, will let him do anything, and he won't need to be nervous or afraid anymore. Nodding, he takes the bottle from you and drinks it all down in seconds.

Nothing seems to happen, despite the fact that he-

-and with that, Tristan has become the new God. He looks unchanged of course, but his eyes shine with an inner light that showcase that he's not the same 8 year old and 2nd grader that walked in here.

"Hey, how are you feeling?" you ask him.
"I'm...feeling alright." Tristan responds. It's clear that while he is God now, it's a lot to comprehend, and he's still coming to terms with it.
"Well, like I said, you can now do anything, and there is no limit or restriction on what that is."
"What if it's something bad?" he asks, curious.
"You're really the one who determines 'good' and 'evil' now. Something you might consider fine, another person who isn't you might consider bad."
"What could that be?"
"Say you had two friends, and it was REALLY hot outside. So one friend is feeling thirsty and needs water; then you, being nice, turn the other friend into a glass of water for your first friend to drink! Some might say you were bad to do that, but you would probably think it was ok, because your friend needed the water, right?"
Tristan nodded, a bit of understanding coming to him as it dawned what he could do, but he got it a lot more, "I think I get it, thank you."
"Of course Tristan." you said, smiling.

With that, Tristan teleported away.

Tristan went to his friend's house, a boy his age named Brian, and he had a little brother a couple years younger named Ryan. The pair got along well, and their parents weren't home as Tristan arrived. He immediately made Brian aware of everything that had gone on so far without needing to have it explained to him.

"Whoa! Tristan, so you're God now, and can do anything?"
"Yep! Like I could turn you into a glass of water and have Ryan drink you!"
"That's incredible!"
"Yeah, wanna try it?"
"Honestly if you weren't God and could undo it I'd be kinda scared, but...I trust you!"

Before Brian could say anything more, his body felt sweaty, and he began to drip onto the living room floor, and as his body melted away and turned into clear water, he felt himself being redirected via Tristan's power into a tall glass, where he awaited what would happen next. After a bit, Ryan came downstairs, who was 5, and saw Tristan alone. Once again Tristan made it so that Ryan knew everything without being told, and also let him know about the glass of water that Brian had been turned into.

"Woooow! So my big brother is just inside this glass?"
"Yep."
"Can I drink him?"
"If you want, he is just water right now."
"Woooow!"

To which Ryan picked up the glass and drank down every drop in it, literally drinking his brother down as he did so. Tristan waited for something to occur, but it dawned on him that he hadn't considered it, so that's all that'd happened. Brian was just water and now he'd been drunk by Ryan. Tristan as such saw Brian's soul floating around the form, as due to his power as God he had power over life and death, so he reached out and grabbed hold of the soul, while making it visible to Ryan too.

"Hey Ryan, this is your big brother's soul. You just drank his body down that I turned into water, so this is all that's left of him, his soul, his being, everything he 'is', is right here."
"Whoa! So that's my big brother? His soul is so small and fragile..."
"Yep, so what do you wanna do with him?"
"Well...I don't wanna hurt him, so maybe just make his body again and put his soul back in it?"
"Sure, can do"

To which a perfect copy of Brian's body appeared in front of him, and Brian's soul entered into it...but the copy just lay there on the floor, alive but passed out.

"Hmm...guess it takes time for the soul to get used to a body again, even after a short time." Tristan said
"Will Brian be alright?"
"Yeah he will, promise."

Still it seems like things were at an impasse, so Tristan decided...

You have the following choices:

*Noteb*
1. ...to do more stuff with Ryan

2. ...to wait for Brian to wake up.

*Noteb*
3. ...to head elsewhere.

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
