You managed to climb up to the table as Cadence sits down with an omelet and breaks you off a small piece. "Alright," you say. "Omelets. Thanks Cadence." Cadence lets out a grunt and then begins to eat her breakfast. You eat some of your omelet and notice a funny taste. "Cadence? What kind of eggs are these?" Cadence sways her arm and makes a slight hissing noise and you realize that you're eating snake eggs. You let out a slight look of disgust, but hide it so as not to hurt Cadence's feelings. As you're eating, you hear a strange sound coming from the hallway. "What the heck is that?" you ask.
You climb down as Cadence lets out a confused grunt. As you walk to the door, you look under it to see a familiar pair of bandaged feet. "Nefernina." You grumble. That mummy landlady of yours was always giving you crap just for being a human. She hated humans and saw you as nothing more than a common pest. You hate that woman. She's such a control freak.
But it sounded like she was busy. One of the annoying things about Nefernina was that she was too stubborn to hire a repairman to fix anything that needed to be repaired. You found it really cheap of her. What is that stupid mummy doing now?
