Obi reluctantly took off the mask. "I don't like taking it off." He then got off the wagon, and place the mask in a storage compartment.
Lewis chuckled. "I doubt anything will happen to it; you need to shave anyways."
Obi looked back at him and grinned. "So do you."
"I tell you what," Lewis said as he got off. "When we find ourselves a Red Light house, I'll pay for your shower and shave."
Obi laughed at this. "I'll hold you to that."
An hour later, after Obi got his examination finished, and was Cleared for entry, he and Lewis were standing by the wagon as Hank negotiated with the various sales clerks, as he sold the scrap they'd gathered during their scavenging foray. He then came out with the money, and gave some to the men, always asking, "Whole or Part?" If a man said "Whole", they'd get all the money they'd earned, but they had to be careful with it; more than one man had spent all their money on drink and women, not saving any for more important things, like food and supplies. If a man said "Part", they'd get half their pay, which they could do with as they wished, and the rest would be placed in a strongbox for later, or to be used for supplies.
"Whole or Part?" Hank asked, as he came before the pair.
"Part will be alright," Obi said. Hank handed him the money, which was in gold coins.
"Part will be good for me as well," Lewis said. He soon felt the weight of the coins in his hand. Taking a look at it, he said...
