The Switch

The secretary handed Mrs. Farmer several forms which she glanced over signing her name at the bottom, then handing it to Justin for him to do also. After Justin finished he handed it back to Brittany who then directed him and his Mother to sit down on one of the green cushioned chairs behind them as they waited. It was a few minutes before an older gentleman in a lab coat opened the door to the left of the secretary, holding a clipboard and directing Justin and his Mother to the farthest door down a long corridor. It was there they saw the machinery for the first time, It was two chairs with restraints and several wires leading to what looked like electrical generators facing the chairs but against the wall. A dark haired man with a goatee entered the room, looking like the older man they saw before clipboard and lab coat and all.
"Mrs. Farmer, Justin, if you are ready let's get this show on the road," he said smiling.
Michelle Farmer took a deep breath, reassuring herself this would be temporary, no way Justin would be able to live her life. Justin on the other hand was ecstatic, looking over at his Mother and thinking to himself, "I'm going to be her shortly." Her long brown hair in a ponytail, her athletic figure still showing through her attire of a gray hoodie, white shirt and grey sweatpants and sneakers. Her beautiful and flawless face, blue eyes and slender hands one of which containing the large diamond ring that made her Mrs. Farmer. Mother and child took their places as the man hooked them up to each respective machine, strapping them in just before he headed over to the large switch at the back of the room. He flipped it.
