how does he get them? does he find a bunch of them at a Pokéball factory while on a tour, and he and whatever girl(s) he's travelling with fall into a hole with Pokéballs created by someone who got fired and hid a bunch of them in the basement to get later, but never got the chance to before he got killed? does he steal them from Team Rocket's main base, and destroy their plans so they can't make new ones? or does a Legendary/Mythical Pokémon give it to him as thanks for helping it?


AN: with any of these, reader's choice on who's travelling with Ash and how many girls(so long as it's not more than 10). also, with option 2, Team Rocket didn't do it anywhere else
