For one thing, the new size gave her some more protection in the rear, so she would hurt less if she was hit there. The extra weight could also help her use any weight sensitive panels she comes across. Finally the added weight could potentially make her butt a weapon in dire circumstances.
After thinking about for a moment, Samus made her decision. "This is supposed to be an upgrade, and I can think of a few ways it can help. Ah, what the hell, I'll hold on to this upgrade for a while." She said to no one in particular.
