Yesterday you went with your mom, John and Julia to the yard sale on the villa. Your mom and you never really agree on something easily, as such she always complain about the things you like. You and your mom may be full-blood with one another but you sort of took another path in life which strayed you to from the things that most girls like and do, which made you completely different from your mom's lady-like behavior.
************
On the way home, you noticed John was holding an old-looking scroll
"Hey nice scroll." You said, noticing a head-like carving on its edge
"Thanks Tina, the old man said it's magic." John said in excitement
"There's no such thing as magic John." Your mom said sounded demeaning
"Yeah John, it probably just a bait from the old man." Julia said
"Well can't hurt to try right." You agreed with John
At home you headed back to your room and had your toned body rest on the bed, the word 'magic' could be a buy-bait but the old-looking paper rolled onto a ancient looking carved-edge wood had convinced you. The month had been flat, you were on a holiday with nothing to do and your college friends lived far away.
You heard mom called John to mow the lawn, it downed you as you're still skeptical of what the scroll could really do... what if it had a side-effect if you experienced it first-hand.
You stopped your suspicion about the scroll, if John gets the power first he'll be the one that gets all the fun so you decided to run up to his room. You opened his door and saw the scroll rolled up on his desk, you sit and unroll it. The sight of the scroll was mesmerizing but beyond your understanding because it had strange words on both sides, you don't understand what it means but the words seem pronounceable for you to read it yourself.
