East, in the direction of Riften...

by: Shadow Writer Author IconMail Icon
Eva's head hurt. Badly. She was tired, having slept for short minutes in the sadle. Having been removed from the legion only a few days ago, she had been chased by Thalmor assasins right across the border. A stray arrow had cut through the skin on her upper left arm, leaving a gaping wound that she only had time to wrap a crude bandage around.

There was no time to use any healing spells on it.

There wasnt time for anything.

Barely conscious, and aware of the stolen horses own tiredness, she looked at the path in front of her. It split into two directions, one heading down to what she was certain was Helgen Keep just around the corner and the other, east, up into the mountains which a split second look at the map appeared to be the direction of Riften.

"Thieves and bunglers" She murmured to nobody in particular. At least with the right gold, none of them should rat her out to the Thalmor. Eva turned the weary horse east and headed into the mountains. It was sheer luck that she wasnt beset upon by a troll or a pack of wolves. Either of which would have easily made a meal out of her in this state.

Eventually, the snow covered ground gave way to frosted grass. But Eva barely noticed it. With what little focus she had left, she wanted to get away from any sort of danger. The difference between thirty minutes and thirty seconds quickly became a blur to her as the horse continued down the path, only the knowledge of the difference between cobblestone and mud prevented it from leaving the road and into the uncharted wilderness since Eva was now too tired to stay awake.

Whether it was a sixth sense or luck, something stirred in Eva's mind, forcing her awake. She looked to the right and was certain she could see something on the otherside of a thick bunch of trees.

You have the following choices:

1. A farm! Somewhere to stop and rest at...

*Noteb*
2. Her assassins, lying in wait!

*Noteb*
3. It's nothing, Eva keeps pushing forward...

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
