A sudden tingling sensation on his scalp quickly drew David's attention to the fact that something was off. His eyes then went wide as he watched Alicia's hair begin to retreat into her scalp and darken in color. It was now his own short, dark hair that adorned his sister's head! And that meant ... David's hands shot up to his head and confirmed that he now had his sister's longer brown hair, secured in a bun.
Holy shit, it's real! David thought as he realized that old woman really had given him a power to swap traits.
Following his curiosity, David pulled out the hair tie securing his new hair in place and let it fall around his shoulders. This is wild, he thought, running his fingers through his new long hair that reached quite a bit past his shoulders.
"You okay, David?" Alicia suddenly asked, snapping her brother out of his thoughts. "You kind of just spaced out there," she continued, idly scratching an itch on her head, not finding it odd in the slightest that she now had much shorter hair, styled in a men's haircut.
"Oh, yeah, uh, just fixing my hair," David said, making up an excuse.
"Well anyway, as I was saying," Alicia dove back into the conversation.
David wasn't really listening to his sister, though. He was focused on other things, such as how silly Alicia looked with his hair or the fact that he now had a magic swapping power! He did note, however, that he did need to be careful as a stray thought had caused him to swap with Alicia and he still didn't really know how to use it.
Deciding it would be best to swap back and figure out how the power worked, David set about trying to figure that out. Do I just think about it? he wondered. He focused his concentration on swapping hair with his sister again, but he wasn't sure if this was the right way to do it. This hesitance caused him to not quite swap the right thing.
The fuck? David thought as he felt a tingling all over his body as his body hair started receding. Looking back to his sister, David saw a coating of hair appear on her legs. Shit, I swapped the wrong kind of hair! I need to figure this out.
Still unsure of the right way to use his power, David concentrated on his sister once more as he attempted to reverse the swaps he'd made.
