As he looked around the quad for more mischief to cause with his new ability, David suddenly spotted a familiar face stepping out of one of the buildings adjacent to the quad. While he had been a bit of a loner in high school and hadn't kept up with anyone he knew from school, David had become a bit more social now that he was attending college and had managed to make a few close friends. It just so happened that one of those friends had just walked into the very location he was using as a 'laboratory' for testing out his powers, and that made him hesitate for a second.
Using his new ability on random strangers was no problem for David since the loner in him just viewed them almost like faceless entities, but seeing someone that he knew, someone that he considered a friend, he decided against just swapping them with a stranger. He would feel bad if he swapped away one of his friends' body parts only to lose track of it, even if they were unaware.
Deciding it might be more fun to have a friend around while he used his new power, even if he didn't necessarily make them aware of it, David quickly made his way over to his friend to say hi.
