"No way." you tell her point blank. "Not gonna happen."
"But, Eli..." she starts.
"Now, buzz off!" you start to shut the door, but she grabs it before you push it shut.
"I didn't want to have to do this, but if you don't do this, I'll tell mom and dad about your weed stash." she said.
That stopped you dead in your tracks.
Let's back up a little, your name was Eli, and you were a nineteen, a year older than your sister, Tina, the one currently blackmailing you. Eighteen might sound like a weird time for a first date, but let's be clear, she'd been on chaperoned dates before, but they were just the normal, run of the mill teen dates that never went very far because your parents were fairly protective of their only daughter. This was her first date date, thus her nervousness.
Why is it a bad thing if your parents find your weed stash if you're an adult? Well, you were currently taking a year off before college to find yourself, and one of their stipulations on allowing you to remain living at home rent-free was a drug-free policy that you typically ignored. You could clean the smell out before they got home, and it's not like they searched your room. It was the honor system. If you were caught, they had promised to kick you to the curb. And you had entrusted Tina in keeping that secret. Which up until now had worked really well.
"So, what's it gonna be?" Tina asked.
She had your hands tied. Refuse and you'd be out on the streets, but agree and you'd have to go on a date as a girl!
"Fine." you grumbled. "I'll do it."
"What was that?" Tina asked.
"I said I'll go on your stupid double date!" you shouted.
"Exactly what I hoped you'd say." Tina bounced as she rushed back to her room to plan.
"What did I just get myself into?" you asked as you collapsed on your bed.
