Footgirl smirked and slipped away, knowing the hero was done for. Footgirl would be happy to pick up any scraps left over by the Amazon. Jake looked up just as the giant villainess made her way through the hole in the wall. She was taking her time now. She knew victory was all but guaranteed. She grabbed Jake by the throat, and threw him through a few of the supermarket shelves. Jake felt his flesh cut, and his bones crack. He quickly realized the truth; He was going to die tonight.
His mother stood over him, smirking, before putting her smelly foot on his face, crushing him. The great pressure made it feel like his skull was going to cave in, and the stench made him woozy. He feared passing out. He feared what The Amazon would do to him if he did. As he felt his life fading, some of his past duels with villains flashed through his head. Some of his greatest victories, including the time himself and Beth conquered Megabutt and stopped her evil plans, even if it was only for a short while.
Jake remembered the time he was able to defeat Havoc, her greatest strength being her own weakness as he pulled her gas mask off.
Jake remembered it all. The good times, the bad, and even his first outing as a hero. What a fool he was, taking up this kind of life. It was dangerous! He could have gotten himself killed long before this! Hell, there were about 1000 worse fates than this. Getting crushed to death by The Amazon's foot. Why did he ever take this risk?
He thought some more about it- because he wanted to. He wanted to protect this city, the city he cared so much about. Whether he stopped the villan, or was a punching bag long enough for civilians to get out of harms way, he did this for his city.
Jake held this thought in his head as he blacked out...
Jake saw a bright white light. At first, he thought he was dead. Then his eyes came into focus, and found he was laying in a hospital bed. His father stood over his bed, smiling, holding Jake's hand. Jake mustered up every bit of strength to speak. "Dad?..." He asked. His father nodded. "Jake, I'm sorry this had to happen to you. It's all my fault..." Jake shook his head. "No Dad... I was just doing my job... I'll be ok..." His dad shook his head. "No, you won't be.. Not by yourself..." Jake shook his head. "I'm not alone.. I have Beth." His dad sighed. "Beth isn't strong enough to help you take on your mother. I called your brother..."
Jake sat up in bed. "I have a brother?!"
His father nodded. "A hero, just like you. He protects London. A hero was needed over seas too Jake... I sent your brother away, and kept you here to fight these villains in the states. But now, it seems you two are needed together. He said he'd fly in-.."
He was cut off by a tall, teenage boy, dressed in a super suit, colored accordance to the British Flag.
Jake's dad smiled. "Jake. Meet your brother. Jack. Or as he's known in his country: Union Jack."
Jack walked over and took his brother's other hand. "Jake... It's so nice to finally meet you. I'm glad we can finally fight together, like proper brothers."
It took Jake months to heal. But once he did, BirdBoy and Union Jack suited up, and got ready to take on the most powerful villain yet: Their Mother. The Amazon
