Threw down the laundry shoot out of habit.

You did not realize your mistake until it was too late and the last item of the uniform, minus the shoes, fell down the shoot to the laundry room in the basement. "Oh crap! Oh crap!"

Knowing that you had just sent your one salvation from your brothers' mischief down to the cleaners, you rushed down the stairs and opened the door to the basement to hear the washer running. You hurried down to the laundry room to the clothes basket that had been positioned to catch the dirty laundry.

"Okay, all I have to do is get it back and I'll be fine." Assuring yourself, you said.
