Susan texted Dan. The text read, "I fixed everything. You have your body back." Dan saw the message and was relieved. Finally he could have a nice time with Mark without having to worry about that darn wish book. Dan took Mark's hand in his own and looked into his eyes like he had a big crush on him. Mark enjoyed the closeness they had.
Back at the house, Susan decided to write more in the book. "What if Dan never quit sucking his thumb. He is addicted to it just like a two pack a day man is addicted to his cigarettes. Dan." She made sure to write down Dan's name so he would be aware of the change.
Walking around the mall with Mark, Dan became a bit anxious. But once he put his thumb into his mouth, he felt much better. Mark didn't mind, he had known all along that Dan sucked his thumb. The other people at the mall thought that a boy holding another boys hand wasn't really a problem, but sucking his thumb seemed a bit babyish.
After a while, Dan removed his thumb from his mouth. He tried to keep it out but he started to get anxious again. Pretty soon his thumb returned to his mouth.
