After some time, Floatzel had finally convinced the hefty Miltank to stick to the edge of the mainlands to avoid the potential storm, for now, he has prevented a repeat of past events. However he still needed to get home himself as he has promised Valerie that he would be home as soon as possible, It was already late in the afternoon and he still had a long trip ahead of him.
Floatzel took to swimming close to the mainland, avoiding swimming to far out to sea, this method took him much longer, but it was the safest route, though as he swam home, the thought did cross his mind, what if he were to ignore Lugia's warning, what if he were to drink the entire ocean and become the biggest Pokemon in existence once more.
It was very tempting, but he couldn't. Not only had he promised Valerie that he would not go overboard with his eating, but Arceus had warned him that should he cause havoc due to his gluttony he would be severely punished.
"I do miss those days" Floatzel said to himself as he paddled along "I would love to be that big again, I miss those galaxy sized meals with Val, heck I even miss devouring and being devoured by Luxray, we escaped each others stomachs so many times..." He added chuckling to himself "I wonder how he's doing, I wonder if he even remembers our past life"
Floatzel's thoughts danced about with past events as fantasies of growing bigger and bigger as he feasted on existence itself, but he also had a family to consider, his children and Val also meant the world to him, he wanted to look after them and spend time with them more than anything, yet this still did not fully quell his temptations. But for now he decided he would fight said temptations and selfish desires for their sake, rather than his own.
It struck evening, before Floatzel finally made his way back home.
While they did live on the main land, they had constructed an undersea passage which connected to their home, the passage itself was large enough to accommodate both Floatzel and Valeries large bodies, however due to Floatzels recent eating splurge, the passage was a tight squeeze, however with some delicate swimming he progressed his way through the passage and finally into his home.
"I'm home" Floatzel called out!
"Oh you're finally back!" Valerie replied as she made her way over to greet him
"Sorry I took so long" Floatzel said, though just as he was about to explain what happened, Valerie interrupted him, placing a paw over his mouth
"No need to explain dear, I already know what happened" See said in soothing and reassuring tone
"Wait... you do?"
"Yes, Lugia telepathically explained to me the whole thing, he warned me about the storm and told me to not go looking for you until everything was all clear" Valerie elaborated "Though he said I wasn't to expect to see you until tomorrow?"
"I kind of ignored his advice to stay put, and just kept to the mainlands instead, to avoid the storm" Floatzel replied sheepishly
"Oh well, you're home now" Valerie replied with a gentle smile.
