Here's the idea: The Titans were fighting Doctor Light, again, and Beast Boy was blasted into a laboratory and accidentally knocked over some chemicals. Some of the chemicals fell on him, completely dousing his entire body. The combination of chemicals formed seeped into his skin and mouth before he could rinse himself off using the emergency shower and yes, he was smart enough to use it after being doused with chemicals. His biological parents were scientists, some stuff would have been ingrained in him. Anyways, the chemical changed his body so that whenever he is aroused, he will release highly potent pheromones that are specifically tuned to only affect the person or people he is aroused by. They also made it so that his canine teeth would release a sort of venom into his mate's body that makes them completely devoted to him. Kinda like the original idea with a few twists of my own.
