It was a cold, dreary night in Gotham. The snow had really piled up since the storm on New Year's Eve. Weather aside however, Batman was in a fairly positive mood. He had managed to put that fat clown Joker back in Arkham Asylum.
His last escape and ensuing crime spree with Harley Quinn was ended the previous night. Batman managed to stop the Joker after an annoying and fairly brutal encounter at the Steel Mill. Harley Quinn had managed to slip away somehow, but he wasn't as worried about her as much as getting the Joker. She would turn up soon enough.
In fact, he was currently on his way back to the Steel Mill now. He had received a tip from a thug he interrogated earlier in the evening about activity at the Steel Mill. It couldn't be Joker, but there was a good chance it was some of his thugs trying to hole up in there again.
Landing near the entrance, he didn't see anyone around, so he slipped inside to take a look around. It was dark inside, so he turned his night-vision on and made his way further inside. A short ways into one of the rooms, and he saw a few of Joker's thugs in a dimly lit corner. He couldn't quite tell what they were doing, but they seemed to be looking his way and laughing.
He was quickly informed why however, as he was spun around by a massive fat thug in clown make-up. There was no time to block the blow by the fat thug, and he took the punch right in his face. He went down to one knee, but not for long. The thug followed up his punch with a kick to his chin. The other thugs now joined the one beating on Batman. The last thing that Batman remembered was all of them laughing, before the fat thug stomped his face, and he was out.
