Gine was Chopping and sorting away massive piles of meat as was her occupation mandated by Saiyan society for being "too weak" and "passive" to participate in raids and fights, something that was considered the gravest of sins in the eyes of a race of warriors such as the Saiyans. She was considered the lowest of the low class by her peers and was met with barely concealed scorn and derision by society and most of her peers and neighbors on a regular basis and her prospects towards career advancement were next to nonexistent.
But that was okay. She had many problems but so long as she had her beloved Bardock and her two wonderful sons she could endure anything.
And besides. Everyone was very much wrong about her. Her true problem wasn't that she was weak, quite the opposite in fact.
It was quite possible that she was the most powerful creature in the universe for she was the legendary super saiyan! The first one born in thousands of years! A being of boundless potential and unfathomable might driven by fury and a lust for violence that bordered on madness! Possessing savagery and strength enough to challenge the very gods and consign the entire cosmos to the hell fires of destruction!
But that....that wasn't her.
She didn't want to fight. She didn't want to hurt anybody! All she wanted to do was live in peace with the few friends and family that she had!
But the rage...the power.
She couldn’t control it.
Some days it was all she could do to contain it, even at this very moment she could feel it constantly growing without end, trying to break free and change her into a beast.
Her power terrified her! Made her afraid of turning into the monster she always knew she was deep down. Afraid of what she'd do to everyone around her when she did, especially her friends and family.
Fortunately her husband is a genius and one of the greatest minds their people ever produced. He had invented a technique that allowed them to more or less seal away the savage force within her. It's thanks to him that she's been able to live something resembling a normal life, not for the first time has she remarked on how lucky she was to have him.
Bardock, his team, and a select few individuals and their closest friends were the only ones who knew of her true nature.
It is by the virtue of divine providence and sheer luck that she's managed to keep it a secret from everyone for so long. She knew that if it ever got out that she was the legendary super saiyan she and her family would never know peace again.
She, like everyone, also knew how the royal family thoroughly and violently strikes down anything and anyone they perceive as a threat to their rule.
Gine knew that if they were to ever catch wind of her true nature that they would assuredly try to snuff her out which would mean fighting which would also mean risking the possibility of losing control and turning into that thing and she could not let that happen. Not ever.
Gine let out a sigh as she finished packing up the first order of the day.
She reviewed her mental checklist of today's chores.
First she had to make sure all of the meat was packed and ready to be shipped out by the afternoon. Then she had to make sure that Raditz had all of his things packed and ready, today’s the day that Bardock takes him out on their first raid together in order for him to get experience in the field.
Gine always wished that her family would pursue a less violent occupation but she knew that she was an outlier when it came that. There was no denying Saiyan instincts, a fact that she knew better than anyone.
Next on her list was to pay a visit to her husband to have him renew the seal on her power and to visit their trusted family doctor to see if there have changes to her physiological status due to the ever budding potential of her super saiyan blood then she had to make sure that Kakarot was fed and taken care of then she could have the rest of the day to herself.
She had quite a full day ahead of her but she didn't mind, she much preferred it this way.
Gine chopped up another piece of meat as she considered what to do first.
